Scholarship Instructions

East Texas Goat Raisers Association is offering a scholarship to a graduating senior who meets the criteria listed below. ETGRA is an organization of people who raise goats with their main goal being to promote the goat industry. ETGRA members take pride in goat awareness through their community involvement.

Criteria include:

• Student, his/her parent, or grandparent must be an ETGRA member. This includes the Junior East Texas Meat Goat Show Team / Youth Program
• Academic achievement
• School activities
• Volunteer work
• Personal achievement

The ETGRA Scholarship Committee will select the semi-finalists and conduct personal interviews to determine the finalist.

Instructions for Applicant

1. Complete attached forms
2. Include high school transcript
3. Write an essay about yourself and your involvement in the goat industry. Please include your plans for your future. This essay should be no longer than one single type written page. Be sure to include your name, the name of the ETGRA member and your high school.
4. Submit enclosed requirement forms to individuals of your choice. One must be received from your high school personnel (teacher, counselor, coach, etc.). One must be another adult, not a relative, in the community outside the school. These recommendations are to be included with your application.
5. All applications are to be received no later than _________________________________.
6. Applicants are responsible for insuring that all forms are submitted.
7. Applicants, if selected as one of the semi-finalists, must be available for a short personal interview.
