The ETGRA is a non-profit organization that is primarily composed of a group of goat enthusiasts with a desire to promote the goat industry in East Texas. The organization was established in 1996 by a group of farmers and ranchers who were interested in raising and marketing goats. The group continues to sponsor events such as sales, shows, and presentations of interest to goat raisers. The organization is headed by a Board of Directors elected by the general membership. Quarterly membership meetings are held within the East Texas area. A quarterly newsletter is included with membership. Although the ETGRA primarily represents the East Texas area, we invite everyone with an interest in goats to join. Please note, the sale scheduled for Sept. 18th has been cancelled. Next sale will be in the spring of 2011. Become a memberIf you are new to raising goats or an old pro, you will discover that the ETGRA will become your most important information resource. Be it marketing, feeding, medications, worming, genetics or illness, you will find the members of this organization to be an invaluable source of current and reliable information.
