Show Rules for 2009 Sanctioned Shows

Please read General Rules and Regulations carefully
1.
All entries must be registered with a recognized Boer Goat Breed Registry--ABGA,
INTERNATIONAL BOER GOAT ASSOCIATION, USBGA, or CANADIAN BOER GOAT ASSOCIATION.
Only animals registered with ABGA or IBGA will receive official show points for
shows sanctioned with ABGA or IBGA.
2.
The original registration certificate is required at check-in. NO photocopies
are
acceptable.
3.
All goats must have legible tattoos that match the registration papers
4.
Birth dates, as listed on the registration certificate, will be used to
determine the
class divisions. Show date will be the base date for computing ages for
classes. Classes for Percentage Does (50%-88%), Full Blood/American PurebredDoes
and Full Blood/American Purebred Bucks.
5.
There is no limit to the number of entries an exhibitor may enter in a class.
6.
ALL ABGA SANCTION SHOW RULES APPLY FOR ABGA SANCTIONED SHOWS. ALL IBGA SANCTION SHOW RULES APPLY. Please be familiar with these.
7.
Does over
two
years of age must show evidence of pregnancy or evidence of
prior kidding. Progeny of fresh does will not be allowed in the show ring.
8.
An exhibitor shall not present an animal to be shown under a judge from whom
it was purchased or possession taken less than 90 days prior to the date of the
show.
9.
Any goat showing a pronounced defect, sickness, or abnormality will not be
permitted to show. Out of State entries must present a health certificate on
each
animal.
10.
Goats entered in group classes must be shown in their respective age groups.
There is no fee for group classes.
11.
Pens will be available on a first come basis. Show sponsors reserve the
right
to limit pen space. No tack pens will be available.
12.
Hay is allowed to be fed in the barn,
if the barn used will allow.
13.
Show Barn will be open from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday evening for early arrivals.
Early check-in from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday evening. Check-in also from 7 AM
to 8AM
on show days.
14.
Show officials reserve the right to remove any person or persons from the
show, facilities and grounds who demonstrate unsportsmanlike or inappropriate
behavior either inside or outside of the show ring.
15.
Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort
of
the exhibitors, neither the Show Sponsors or Show Management assumes any
responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or
otherwise, in case
of accidents or loss of property.
16.
Entries are $20.00 each. Early entries 5 days prior to show are encouraged.
Entries will be taken on show day. No late entry fees.
